Today’s word is voice. This picture of me testifying at the statehouse this past winter on behalf of Add the Words is the image that comes to mind for me about voice. It is a privilege to live in a society where people can share their voice with their elected leaders.
There are many ways our voices get used. We raise them in anger or in love. We raise them in sorrow and in joy. We raise our voices to build up others and to tear them down.

While I am grateful I have the privilege of using my voice, I am reminded to take the time to listen to other people’s voices too.
