I’ve never asked for money on this blog before, but as you’re making your final 2016 donations, I’d like to make a request.
The church I serve, Southminster Presbyterian, generously supports my writing, both theological and civic. It is because of them that I have the privilege of time for blog writing.
If that weren’t enough reason to send some support their way, they are also a consistent voice in the community for human rights and equality. Southminster is:
An open and affirming
community, seeking a
caring and just society.
Supporting Southminster is a way to make a claim for a more inclusive voice of faith in a world that seems to be less welcoming and more exclusive every day.
And now we’re raising money for a building expansion. It’s a stretch goal for our church but we need better space both for our own fellowship and ministry and to be a better resource for our neighborhood. More information on the construction can be found here.
See below for ways to donate. You can also click on the “donate” tab from the church website.
Mailing address is 6500 Overland Road, Boise, ID 83709. Donations are tax deductible, as allowed by law.
Thank you for your consideration and for your support.
